No Audit? No Powell!
The Federal Reserve is one of Washington, D.C.’s most secretive institutions, never having been fully audited in its 104-year history.
For decades the Federal Reserve has aggressively pursued the same failed print-now, ask-questions-later monetary policy, which has done little more than allow Congress to spend wildly beyond its means while simultaneously re-inflating the housing and stock market bubbles.
Trump’s nominee for Fed Chair, Jerome Powell, is expected to follow in the footsteps of his predecessors, Yellen and Bernanke.
So it’s up to you and me to ensure Congress uses Powell’s nomination to force the Senate to vote on and pass Audit the Fed (S. 16).

| Whereas: | Polls show that nearly 80% of the American people support a full audit of the Federal Reserve and President Trump has pledged to sign Audit the Fed; and |
| Whereas: | The Federal Reserve System leads to ever-expanding Big Government boondoggles like ObamaCare and allows politicians to spend our country into oblivion; and |
| Whereas: | The Federal Reserve Bank continues to operate in secrecy as they continue the same failed policies that result in constant economic crises, destruction of the middle class, and the devaluation of the United States dollar; and |
| Whereas: | Audit the Fed has passed the House as a stand-alone bill with bipartisan support in two past sessions of Congress; |
| Therefore: | I insist the Senate vote on and pass Audit the Fed (S. 16) before voting on the Powell nomination for Fed Chair. |
