| Whereas: | Right now, homeschooling is NOT mentioned in Kansas law, and that is EXACTLY how it should be; and |
| Whereas: | Big Government supporters in the Kansas legislature want to usurp parental rights and want homeschools to be subjected to government authority; and |
| Whereas: | SB 338 would define homeschools in the same class of institutions with non-accredited private schools, subjecting them to the same corrupting regulations, oversight, and invasive data reporting requirements on YOUR children; and |
| Whereas: | SB 338 would subject your homeschool to the same compulsory school attendance laws required of non-accredited private schools; and |
| Whereas: | Homeschooled children famously outperform their counterparts in state-sanctioned schools, yet the state wants to FORCE their inferior standards on homeschools; and |
| Whereas: | SB 338 DESTROYS homeschooling freedom. |
| Therefore: | I demand my Kansas legislators OPPOSE SB 338. |
