| Whereas: | Convention of States (ConCon) proponents have successfully begged a federal court for permission to VIOLATE the Kansas Constitution, destroy Kansas sovereignty, and trample on states’ rights; and |
| Whereas: | These ConCon proponents have thereby chosen to IGNORE the Kansas Constitution’s two-thirds supermajority requirement for passing their resolution; and |
| Whereas: | This federal court decision is PROOF the Kansas legislature cannot be constrained by Kansas law when voting on a ConCon and Kansas delegates to a ConCon cannot be constrained by Kansas law; and |
| Whereas: | The U.S. Supreme Court AGREES Kansas will have no authority over the convention or the Kansas delegates, saying “Congress possess(es) exclusive power over the amending process” (Justice Black, 1939 Coleman v. Miller); and |
| Whereas: | ConCon proponents have now given corrupt federal courts the opportunity to again PERVERT the meaning of the U.S. Constitution, grow the power of the federal courts, and destroy our state sovereignty and liberty. |
| Therefore: | I demand my State Representative CONDEMN the recent lawsuit against the Kansas Constitution and REJECT any resolution or legislation applying for an Article V Constitutional Convention. |
