Gold and silver have increased in purchasing power since the U.S. went off the gold and silver standard in 1971, and |

The U.S. debt, and our recent high inflation levels, would not be possible if we still had sound money backed by gold or silver, and |
| Whereas: |
Gold and silver money are the only money allowed by Article 1, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution, and |
| Whereas: |
Kansas citizens deserve an alternative to the unconstitutional fiat dollars printed by the Fed, and the Kansas Legal Tender Act would allow for competing currencies and protect Kansans from dangerous Fed practices including a possible Central Bank Digital Currency. |
