DEFEND INTERNET FREEDOM!

Fear of Russian interference in our election is fanning the flames of a new push for a massive government takeover of the Internet.

Proposals leaked from Senator Mark Warner’s office include everything from mandating location tracking on your social media accounts, mandating identity verification for individual users, requiring companies to label “bots” or face penalties for their inaction, and expanding so-called “disclosure” requirements for online political speech, along with much, much more.

That’s why I’m counting on you to help me gather 50,000-signed INTERNET FREEDOM DIRECTIVES by August 31 to put Congress on notice.

So please sign Campaign for Liberty’s INTERNET FREEDOM DIRECTIVE below, and agree to your most generous contribution of $500, $250, $100, $50, or even $10 or $25 TODAY!

For Liberty,

Dr. Ron Paul
Chairman, Campaign for Liberty

INTERNET FREEDOM DIRECTIVE

We, the Undersigned, DEMAND Congress Cease and Desist from Further Regulating, Taxing, or Eroding Online Privacy for the Following Reasons…

Whereas: The Internet is the single greatest catalyst in history for individual liberty and free markets; and
Whereas: Technology revolutionaries succeed because of the decentralized nature of the Internet; and
Whereas: Statists are ramping up efforts for the government to takeover the Internet by destroying privacy rights of individuals with government snooping and efforts to abolish anonymity; and
Whereas: Excessive regulation would have a chilling effect on free speech and severely hamper competition for tech companies in the online marketplace, as any new social network would be required by law to comply with the same costly and burdensome regulations as existing billion dollar corporations;
Whereas: All these initiatives proposed by Senator Mark Warner will lead to the ultimate destruction of the technological revolution while killing a free and fast Internet that respects online privacy along with it;
Therefore: As a Member of Congress, you are being put on notice. Those who would increase regulations on the Internet and seek to further destroy online privacy and anonymity will pay a severe political price at the polls.
