Whereas: |
The Health Care Right of Conscience Act (HCRCA) codified the right of Illinois citizens to refuse any medical intervention they object to without facing any discrimination from public or private employers; and |
Whereas: |
Governor J.B. Pritzker’s Executive Order 2021-20 directly violates the HCRCA and the rights of Illinois citizens by requiring specific medical procedures as a condition for certain types of employment and/or college attendance; and |

Whereas: |
State legislators may move to repeal or revise citizens’ rights under the HCRCA to remove the state’s legal liabilities and to protect Governor Pritzker’s unlawful mandate. |
Therefore: |
Be it resolved that I, a citizen of the state of Illinois, demand that my state representative and state senator defend and uphold my rights under the HCRCA and abandon any and all plans to modify or repeal the Health Care Right of Conscience Act! |
