Dear Patriot,

After a series of discussions with Campaign for Liberty President Norm Singleton, I am convinced this may well be the most important email I’ve ever sent you as C4L Chairman.

I was already worried what “deals” House Speaker Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader McConnell would cook up with 2020 elections bearing down.

Now with this coronacrisis panic providing a new-found excuse for big-spending authoritarianism, politicians like Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom are proclaiming this is their “opportunity” to usher in “a new progressive era.”

And with the national media rooting on the Big Government madness from politicians at EVERY level of government, our remaining freedoms have become their number one target.

With our ongoing battles and the onslaught of coronacrisis power grabs underway, Campaign for Liberty has to make some BIG decisions — decisions I don’t want to make without hearing from 100% of our supporters.

That’s why it’s absolutely critical you read this email, then please complete your confidential 2020 Campaign for Liberty Supporter Ballot right away.

Without your opinion — and your IMMEDIATE support — I’m afraid I could be forced to make deep cuts in Campaign for Liberty’s most important programs (even in some fights like Audit the Fed where I believe we could win).

I can’t explain what a travesty that would be — especially with everything we’re facing right now.

Just consider the stakes with gun control.

The anti-gun statists’ pals in the national media immediately pounced on the coronavirus panic, peddling headlines like, “If government can curb our rights to fight a virus, then why not to fight gun violence?” to advance gun control.

Lickety split, local-level politicians launched end-runs around the Constitution, infringing on Americans’ Second Amendment rights with attempts to shut down gun stores.

And I’m afraid it’s only the beginning.

After the white-hot fight over gun control last fall, Congress only took gun control off the table because of the fight over impeachment.

Now, sources are warning Congress is ready to pick up where they left off on Gun Control.

And our Second Amendment freedoms are hanging by a thread.

What really has me worried are the weak-kneed Republican politicians who’ve previously expressed support for various gun control proposals.

Historically, they’re prone to collapse the closer it gets to election day. 

November’s coming like a freight train. And all bets are off with the nation wrapped up in this coronacrisis.

All it will take is some madman shooting up a “gun-free” zone (like many supermarkets now are) and those same politicians will be clamoring to cut a “deal” and grant Big Government statists BLATANTLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL powers to:

 
There’s virtually no doubt that we’ll soon be facing an all-out brawl on gun control.

So if you think stopping assaults on Americans’ Second Amendment freedoms should be Campaign for Liberty’s top priority in the new Congress, please select “STOP ASSAULTS ON THE SECOND AMENDMENT” on your Supporter Ballot.

But before you do, please consider the growing threat of censorship in the United States.

Authoritarian politicians and bureaucrats will take advantage of any opportunity to censor those like you and me who stand in the way of their statist schemes.

And they’re not alone.

I know you’ve heard bone-chilling stories of tech giants like Facebook, Google, Twitter, and others effectively black-listing anyone who doesn’t toe the Big Government line.

Private companies, of course, should always be able to make their own rules about their products.  But let’s not kid ourselves here.

These tech giants have been tied at the hip to the Deep State for nearly two decades now, handing the NSA gobs of private information on law-abiding Americans any time it’s asked for!

Ever since the results of the 2016 elections, the Deep State has accused anyone who doesn’t toe their line of effectively being “Russian stooges” — the excuse many of these tech giants are using to censor those like me who still believe in liberty.

So according to these self-righteous statist radicals, standing up for the United States Constitution effectively makes you an enemy of the United States!

Now, they’re openly admitting to turning over phone GPS location data to government officials because of the coronavirus.

Congress wants in on the censorship act as well.  In fact the very first bill introduced this Congress was H.R. 1 — the Establishment Protection Act.

If passed, this draconian legislation would:

And with the American people likely to grow ever more strident in opposing politicians the longer this lock down goes on, this legislation could quickly become a major priority for BOTH parties in Congress.

But I’m afraid that’s not even the worst of it.

Consider this recent headline from Politico: “DOJ seeks new emergency powers amid coronavirus pandemic!”

The powers the Department of Justice goons want during so-called “emergencies” is INDEFINITE DETENTION of American citizens without trial!

And they’ve already submitted draft legislation to Congress to get it!

This blatantly unconstitutional power grab has topped the statists’ wish list for years!

Now, with the nation gripped in fear and panic over the coronavirus, Attorney General William Barr and his Justice Department goons think they have the perfect opportunity to ram it through.

INDEFINITE DETENTION is among the most egregious in the torrent of “emergency powers” authoritarians have sought since this outbreak began.

And if we let them get away with it, what liberties will they not crush as the statists continually expand their power under the pretense of “keeping us safe” during this coronavirus outbreak?

And what about the next emergency?

Remember, not too long ago, it was C4L  supporters who were listed in a Missouri Fusion Center report, later referred to as the MIAC report, as domestic extremists to be watched.

And it wasn’t just C4L  supporters on that list, but people displaying third party logos and bumper stickers and supporters of specific politicians, including me.

In the past, everyone from gun owners, to pro-lifers, to tea partiers, were labeled “terrorists” by their political opponents.

You don’t have to think very long to see how terrible this could get . . . government agents with the power to secretly target American citizens and throw them in jail for years or even decades without so much as ever giving them a trial!

If you and I don’t fight back against these schemes, we could effectively lose our ability to fight back anywhere — giving statists in BOTH parties the green light to do their absolute WORST.

So if you think Campaign for Liberty’s top focus should be stopping these statist tools that could muzzle you and me for good, please select “STOP INDEFINITE DETENTION AND BIG GOVERNMENT CENSORSHIP SCHEMES” on your Supporter Ballot.

But before you do, please remember the all-out congressional showdown over FISA reform and reauthorization of Section 215 of the so-called “USA Freedom” Act coming soon.

Section 215 of this federal law is the section surveillance state apologists point to for the warrantless collection of your (and every other American’s) emails, phone records, text messages, Internet searches, instant messages, online purchases, and Facebook posts.

The good news is, just before the coronavirus panic kicked off, you and I defied the predictions of the so-called political experts by not only forcing the Senate to allow three controversial surveillance provisions to expire temporarily but also making it 100% clear SHAM FISA reform is unacceptable.

But our fight is far from over!

And NOW the Deep State has exactly the kind of “whatever it takes” nightmare scenario they’ve always relied on to further their abusive domestic spying powers.

In fact, the Deep State’s media elite pals are pushing coronavirus inspired headlines like: “US spies will use eavesdropping tools and undercover informants to monitor . . . spread of coronavirus”

Warrantless Deep State spying on you, me, or any law-abiding American — for even for a second — is just plain wrong.

The fact is, the Deep State has proven they’ll abuse their domestic spying powers.

And despite the Deep State’s promises, domestic government spying has never done anything to catch a terrorist, nor will it stop a pandemic.

For you and me, that’s no surprise.

Of course, that’s never what these schemes have been about.

From the beginning, they’ve ALWAYS been about shutting up voices like yours and mine who support American freedom.

As I warned you at the time, the “USA Freedom Act” did nothing but put a fig leaf on the so-called “PATRIOT Act.”

Instead of the NSA collecting the private communications of every American, Congress simply instructed communications companies to act as the NSA’s filing cabinet — and insisted these companies jump whenever the NSA told them to.

Now, it appears the NSA can’t even abide by these laughably minimal restrictions. 

Just recently, court documents revealed the NSA illegally collected millions upon millions of phone call and message records on innocent Americans!

And President Trump’s own experience — including being targeted by FBI spies and CIA-approved “whistleblowers” within the White House — should show EVERYONE why we cannot continue to allow America to be transformed into George Orwell’s 1984!

For daring to stand up against these government spying schemes, it appears Campaign for Liberty was even targeted by FBI surveillance!

Not long ago, Cato Institute Scholar Patrick Eddington submitted hundreds of Freedom of Information Requests (FOIA) to the FBI asking whether the bureau had ever conducted warrantless surveillance of organizations like Campaign for Liberty.

When the responses started pouring back in, the FBI effectively responded, “No, nope, nope, never, not them, nope.”

That is UNTIL they were asked about C4L.  Then the FBI issued a “Glomar” response, effectively saying, “No comment.”

These “Glomar” responses are extremely rare, used only when the FBI wants to refuse to confirm or deny whether it was collecting national security or intelligence records on the subjects of the FOIA request.

In other words, if they WEREN’T spying on me, they’d say so!

If we don’t stop this madness, the America you and I love won’t be around much longer.  It will be unrecognizable.  And freedom will exist nowhere but in our memories.

So if you think STOPPING permanent reauthorization of the so-called “USA Freedom Act” and expansion of government snooping powers should be our top priority, please mark, “STOP GOVERNMENT SPYING” on your Supporter Ballot.

But before you do, there’s one more thing I hope you’ll consider — one more BIG THING. . .

That’s our fight to Audit the Fed.

As I’ve said for years, the Federal Reserve remains the heart of everything you and I HATE about Washington, D.C. 

With their “print-now, ask-questions-later” policies, they fuel the out-of-control Big Government Leviathan that never stops growing, never stops seizing our freedoms, and never stops the mad rush to full-blown socialism.

Even before Congress’ latest spending spree, the national debt had ballooned to over $23 TRILLION under the economic myth they can spend and spend without consequence because the Federal Reserve can simply print the money out of thin air without anyone suffering the slightest when the bills must be paid.

The truth is, the Fed’s meddling in the markets is why a major economic storm was brewing in our financial system long before this coronavirus panic.

It’s something I warned about last fall, when in September, the Fed started issuing hundreds of billions of dollars in bailouts to the “Repo” market — a key financial market banks and other financial institutions use for short-term funding.

As Fortune noted early on:

“The repo market is looking a lot like it did on the precipice of the 2007 housing market crash.”

But now, instead of being exposed as the culprit of another 2008-like financial collapse caused by Fed-enabled congressional over-spending, the Fed can blame everything on the coronavirus panic and the accompanying economic shutdown.

And they’re telling anyone and everyone who will listen they’re the only ones who can “fix it.”

The problems they created will far outlast the coronavirus.

And the nearly $500 BILLION in taxpayer money Congress and the U.S. Treasury just made available to back the Federal Reserve’s latest sweetheart loans to their fat-cat cronies on Wall Street will only make it worse.

Since the Fed loans $10 for every $1 in reserves, that means they have $5 TRILLION to dole out to their Wall Street bankster pals and politically-connected corporate cronies!   

All in secret. 

The American people are NEVER to know where the money goes — all thanks to Congress.

That’s why auditing the Fed NOW — before it’s too late — is so critical.

So if you think finally EXPOSING the Federal Reserve should be most important, please mark “AUDIT THE FED — BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!” on your Supporter Ballot.

As you’ll see, there are no easy choices. 

Focusing solely on any one area means Campaign for Liberty will simply have to let the statists in BOTH parties get their way in another.

I can’t even bear to think about what that would mean for the future of our country.

That’s why, as you’ll see, I’ve included one more option on your Supporter Ballot. 

“That’s FIGHT EVERYWHERE! DON’T GIVE AN INCH!”

But please recognize how serious this is.

Without a massive influx of funds, I simply won’t be able to run even a full program on any one of these critical battles, let alone all of them!

Fighting the statists everywhere will mean I simply must count on you to go above and beyond what you’ve done in the past.
