Bernanke Banner
      If Senator Jay Rockefeller's so-called "Cybersecurity Act of 2009" passes, it will give Obama unchecked power to shut down American networks.

      Given the Obama Administration's aggressive stance toward any opposing viewpoints, these "emergency" powers could very easily be used to silence political dissenters.

      Please sign the Internet User's Mandate to demand Congress stop this flagrant power grab. And after you've signed, please make a generous contribution of $250, $100 or $50 to Campaign for Liberty to help fight this Internet Takeover Bill.

"Stop the Internet Takeover"
Internet User's Mandate

Whereas:   The Internet is a free marketplace of ideas and information and NOT federal government property; and

Whereas:   ALL Americans benefit from the open exchange of information facilitated by a free and unregulated internet; and

Whereas:   The President of the United States has no constitutional authority to “disconnect” privately owned and operated networks; and

Whereas:   The Internet Takeover and Shutdown Bill (S. 773) is simply a transparent attempt to centralize power in the executive branch;

Therefore:   I urge you to oppose S. 773, the so-called “Cybersecurity Act of 2009,” and do everything in your power to see that it is defeated.

      Please submit the information below to sign the petition.
   Copies will be sent to your Senators.
